很明顯，weeds在此處可不是指“雜草”，而是“喪服”的特殊稱謂。据詞源壆記載，weeds源於古日耳曼語，指的是“clothes”（衣服），9世紀末期被英國人廣氾使用，噹時可用單數。大約到了13世紀，“weed”或“weeds”統指“某一職業”或“某一社會階層人”的裝束，比如：a priest's weed（牧師服）；a beggar's weeds（乞丐裝）。
時隔多年，再憶電影《飄》，印象最深的竟是郝斯佳身著黑色喪服、腳卻跟著音樂的節拍在跳舞…… 英語中，“寡婦的黑色喪服”可用widow's weeds來表示。
這裏再順便介紹一個weed的俚語用法“ *** ”。德國藍調歌手Sarah Connor有一首反毒品歌曲《等我》，其中有這麼一句歌詞：She was trying everything and more/Alcohol and speed, coke and weed and tried to score（她一直在嘗試各種毒品/ 酒精，安非他命（興奮劑），可卡因， *** ，而且還走俬）。
Widow's weeds可追泝到1595年，用來形容&ldquo，德文翻譯;婦女喪偶的哀悼標志”——戴黑色面紗，穿黑色喪服。

Romance blooms at the office, U.S. survey says
Forty percent of US workers have dated an office colleague, with 31 percent of them going on to marriage, according to a survey released on Tuesday.
Ten percent work with someone they would like to date and 18 percent have dated a co-worker twice or more at some time in their careers, the office romance survey for online job website CareerBuilder.com showed.
Those eyeing a co-worker was skewed between the sexes, with 14 percent of men but just 5 percent of women saying they would like to date a colleague.
Of those who dated a co-worker in the last year, a third said it was someone with a more senior position in the company. Of those, 42 percent have dated their boss.

要形容出 '徨'→不安, '誠'→注意, '恐'→擔憂害怕. 用一個英文字的話,可考慮用 :
mousy - 像老鼠一樣的
hypervigilant - 高度警戒的
或者可用多於一個的形容詞自由搭配:

請問用於~刊物標題~的"心橋"華碩英語翻譯,除了the bridge of mind,有沒有其他更好的說法?
看到版主使用 the bridge of mind, 想必是~~用在智慧相交換的橋樑 那麼可以是:
the bridge of brain, the bridge of intellect, the bridge of judgment, the bridge of reason,
the bridge of sense, or the bridge of intelligence.等等啦!
如果the bridge用累了 可換成
